I wanted to write briefly about what you should expect when you are pregnant. You go through many different stages along the pregnancy timeline and a lot of these can be tough. I want to give you some reassurances because I am going through the same thing right now.

Still not feeling pregnant? Don't worry you soon will and when you do it will hit you suddenly. The thing that affected me the most was the tiredness. I felt tired all the time. I struggled to get up in the mornings and when I arrived home from work I was worse than useless around the house. All I did was lie on the sofa.

These weren't the only pregnancy symptoms I suffered from. I had an increased sense of smell which made me feel sick all the time. It really put me off the flat that I was living in. I also had headaches and other joint aches.

I am now at the point in the pregnancy timeline where I have now passed those problems because I am in my 2nd trimester. I have been told that it gets tougher towards the end but I am ready for that.

If you are trying for a baby, waiting to take that all-important test every month can be extremely torturous. Test too early and you may risk a false negative despite the recent improvements in pregnancy testing kits.

The best time to take a pregnancy test is officially after you have missed a period in order to achieve the most reliable result. 1. Timing of Implantation

A pregnancy test detects the presence of the pregnancy hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) either in the blood or in the urine. The hCG in the urine comes from the hCG in the blood after it was filtered through the kidney. After ovulation, the egg gets fertilized and travels through the fallopian tube toward the uterus. This travel takes on average about a week. If you are getting the DNA of your unborn baby tested solely for the purpose of establishing paternity, doctors do not encourage this test to be done before your child is born.
